He is the God of your breakthrough!

So many people have talked about beginning 2025 with lofty New Year’s resolutions, inspiring themselves to reach further and be more prosperous. Well, I am here to tell you to relax and let God order your steps as you journey into and through 2025.

Throughout the Bible, we find scripture that support creating a vision for success. Keep it simple by investing time with Jesus and developing an intimate relationship with Him. He truly is all we need. Let me explain.

Psalm 23 is an extraordinary chapter that opens our eyes to how to live daily.

VERSE 1:  The Lord is my Shepherd.  That means you must have a relationship with Him. How? By spending time talking with Him, reading the Bible, and focusing on His will in your life.

I shall not want. That is supply. As a child of God, He will provide all that you need, every day, all day, all year long.

VERSE 2:  He makes me lie down in green pastures.  That is rest. He expects you take time every day to renew your mind, body, and spirit. Green pastures represent His provision for you and reminds you not to worry about anything.

He leads me beside the still waters. That is renewal. Water is essential for life to exist. Think about how peaceful it is to sit by a stream of water and listen to its flow.

VERSE 3:  He restores my soul.  Wow! That is healing, a total refreshing of your mind, body, and spirit.

He leads me in the paths of righteousness. That is guidance. As He orders your steps daily, He provides guidance through whatever situation you may encounter.

For His name’s sake. That means you are His child, His namesake, a CHRISTian. That is purpose, serving Him.

VERSE 4:  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. The Bible tells us that there will be trials and tribulations in this world, but by the authority of Christ, we should not fear evil. That is protection!

For You are with me, Your rod and Your staff comfort me. That is faithfulness as He will never leave you or forsake you, no matter what you are going through.

VERSE 5:   You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. That is provision and hope. God has your back, especially in the presence of those who wish you harm or less than.

You anoint my head with oil, my cup runs over. That is professing a sacred purpose for your life. So much, that your cup is not only full, but running over so you can bless others. That is abundance!

VERSE 6:   Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. That is love and blessing! Goodness and mercy will follow you ALL the days of your life. ALL the days! Wow!

And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. That is promise! He has prepared for you a mansion in Heaven because you are His Child.

When you think of all the blessings you will receive by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior, it is overwhelming and very fulfilling. A life worth living in the presence of His peace and love. Psalm 139:1 reminds you that He has searched you and knows you.  And in Psalm 37:23, the Bible reminds us that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord and that he delights in his way. Jeremiah 29:11 tells us that He knows the plans He has for you, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Your salvation through Him qualifies you to do His kingdom work. Walk with Him daily and focus on His will for your life. Trust Him in all things.  Reflect His love to those around you.

One of my favorite songs is Reason to Praise by Cory Asbury. The words of that song are so powerful. When you are at your end, He will still be faithful. When you hit a mountain, He is the creator of that mountain, and it will have to move. When you have a question, He is the answer. When you need a breakthrough during challenging times, He is working a way through. And for that, you have a reason to praise.

Luke 16:10 reminds us that if we are faithful in the little things, He will allow us to be faithful in much.

Proverbs 4:20-22 gives us great advice for the new year.  Pay attention to His Word and incline our ear to His sayings. Do not let His word depart from our eyes and keep them written in our heart so we will always have His word available to our spirit. He gives life and health to those who trust Him.

Praise Him through each day in 2025. Focus on His will in your life in 2025. Spend time with Him daily in 2025. And then sleep in heavenly peace knowing that God loves you and wants the best for you.
